Event Details

Running Bear are excited to announce 'The Running Bear Summer Track Mile' at the Stockport Track on Friday 30th August.

On a track measured mile, you can race competitively for a new mile PERSONAL BEST. You may be a regular track athlete or perhaps it’s the first time since your school days, regardless of where you’re at - we’re turning up together!

Heats will start at 6.30pm and there will be a number of heats between 6.30pm and 9.00pm based on your predicted time, there will be no more than 20 in each heat.

Music will be blasting and there'll be food and drink available so bring your friends and family to cheer you on as you go up against club mates, team mates and friends!

Stick around after your heat and celebrate your PB with hot and cold snacks.

We'll have a photographer on the course so get #RaceReady and practice those finish line smiles.

This event will be chip timed via bibs and results will be sent directly to your mobile following your heat, so please ensure the mobile number you enter when signing up is correct. There will be a digital certificate that you can download from the results.

Refund Policy

Refunds

Organising a race incurs considerable costs which are met a long time before race day and so individual refunds will only ever be issued at the Race Organiser’s discretion. For a refund to be considered, full details must be emailed to us for consideration within a reasonable time frame of the event.

We do not refund any admin fees that were applied on top of the base Entry fee paid.

Cancellations

We hold the rights to amend/cancel any aspect of an event at late notice. Cancellation will only ever be a last resort for us, and we will always take direction on event cancellations from government agencies (e.g. the Met Office for weather related incidents) and the National Governing Body concerned, in addition to our assessment of the local conditions.
In the event of any cancellation, if it possible to reschedule the event to a different date in the same calendar year then all entries will be automatically transferred to the new date. Deferrals and transfers will be permitted for the rescheduled event.

Where an event cannot be rescheduled, committed contractors will be paid and remaining funds will be offered as partial refunds.
